City views and palm trees…
The 2019 Wellness Walk and Research Run will be held in the heart of Melbourne at Alexandra Gardens (palm side) on the banks of the Yarra River with the walk/run to take place around the iconic Tan Track.
We are amazed how this event has grown, first starting in 2013 as a 4km walk in Ivanhoe and in 2016 evolved to a 5km walk and 10km run held at La Trobe University’s Bundoora’s campus.
After the past three wonderful years at La Trobe University, Bundoora Campus we are excited to be expanding the event to encourage participants across the whole of Melbourne and beyond to support people living with cancer and raising funds to support breakthrough cancer research and access to world-leading wellness programs for patients.
Olivia Newton-John will be in Melbourne on Sunday 6 October to host the event and is delighted to say:
This event is so special to me, l am always humbled to see so many people joining me to support people with cancer.
I’m excited each year to see the event grow and looking forward to this year’s event at the Alexandra Gardens and walking around Melbourne’s picturesque track – The Tan"
