Professor John Mariadason
Head of Gastrointestinal Cancers Program at the ONJ Cancer Centre (Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute). John’s research is seeking to discover new treatments for colon cancer patients.
Laura is a PhD student in the Oncogenic Transcription Laboratory at the ONJ Cancer Centre (Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute) and her focus is on researching drug combinations for colorectal cancers. Laura is passionate about discovering new treatments and creating better health outcomes through cancer research.
Long-time Wellness Walk and Research Run attendee and passionate team leader of the growing “Team Maxie” (look out for the blue caps on event day). Lyn is passionate about fundraising and the positive change it can have on influencing health care for our community.
Lachlan is an exercise physiologist at the ONJ Centre and designs individualised exercise programs based on a patient's cancer diagnosis, treatment and personal goals. He is passionate about raising awareness about the benefits exercise can have upon a patients cancer journey and improving outcomes for our patients.
In 2015 Natasha was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic Melanoma. During treatment, Natasha was given an immunotherapy treatment and underwent surgery - she is now cancer free! Natasha is an incredible mother to daughter Marley, and a huge supporter of the Wellness Walk and Research Run.
Since 2015 Mindy has been a passionate Wellness Walk and Research Run Global Walker from America. After undergoing her own cancer diagnosis in 2016 Mindy is deeply committed to raising funds to help those going through cancer in Australia and across the globe.
