Registration Fundraising Event Day & Course Global Participation Volunteering Merchandise

How do I receive my race bib?
Depending when you purchase your ticket you can receive your race bib in a number of ways:
Registered before Sunday 8 September:
You will receive your 2019 WWRR registration pack via mail, to the shipping address provided during registration.
Registered between Sunday 8 September - Friday 27 September:
You can collect your registration pack and race bib from Level three of The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre* (near the café). The collection area will be open Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, between 10am and 12 noon

Alternatively, you can collect your race bib at the WWRR Event Village, Alexandra Gardens – Palm Lawn, Boathouse Drive, Melbourne, on Saturday 5 October – 10.00am - 2.00pm
Registered after Sunday 8 September
Or if you did not pick up your registration prior to this date:
You will need to pick up your pack on event day, at the registration desk from 8.00am - 9.30am on Sunday 6 October. Please ensure you arrive early and give yourself plenty of time before your walk or run begins.
Does my registration fee go to the cause?
Your registration fee will cover the operational costs of the event, with all fundraising dollars raised going to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre
Is my registration tax deductible?
No, your registration ticket is not tax deductible only donations over $2 AUD are tax deductible.
Can I add people to my team after I purchased my ticket?
On your team fundraising page, click on “invite members” located under the team members section at the bottom of the page. From here, insert up to five team invitations at a time.
How do I create a fundraising page?
When you purchase your ticket you will automatically be set up with a fundraising page. Once your ticket is purchased, check your email and then follow the links to view, edit and share your fundraising page.
How do I fundraise?
You can fundraise by asking your family and friends to support you through giving a donation. Sharing your fundraising page on social media also helps in spreading the word.
How can I create a team?
Login to your fundraising page, and view the dashboard page. On the right side of the page, enter your team name within the box that says “create a new team”. Once entered click “create”.
Where does the money go?
The money raised will support research cancer breakthroughs and provide access to world-leading wellness and supportive care, giving patients hope and helping them and their families during cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
Do I have to fundraise?
It is not compulsory to fundraise however every ticket holder will automatically be set up with a fundraising page. It is strongly encouraged that all participants fundraise to help make a life-changing difference for people with cancer.
I am having issues with my fundraising page?
How do I get my tax receipt?
All tax receipts will be emailed to you instantly. If you have any issues please email, email@example.com
How long after the event can I fundraise?
Fundraising will be open until Thursday 31 October.
Why should people overseas fundraise for an Australian hospital?
Cancer is a global disease and at the ONJ Cancer Centre we heavily invest in research which is shared on a global platform.
Event Day & Course
Where is the event located?
Alexandra Gardens – Palm Lawn, Boathouse Drive, Melbourne.
Where can I park?
- Secure Parking, 300 Flinders Street Car Park [RZ7] (8 min walk, $13 flat rate or $10 online pre purchase)
- Wilson Parking Federation Square, Russell Street [RZ8] (9 min walk, $16 flat rate)
- Wilson Parking (Flinders Gate) – 172-192 Flinders Street[RZ9] , Melbourne. (6 min walk, $14 flat rate)
Where is the start line?
Alexandra Gardens – Palm Lawn, Boathouse Drive, Melbourne.
Where can I leave my bag?
You can leave your bag free of charge in the event village, and use the bag drop tag on your race bib to identify your items. Look out for signs upon arrival.
Will you be selling merchandise on the day?
Yes, this will be located in the event village.
What should I bring?
Feel free to bring a hat and water bottle however you do not need to bring anything specific.
How long is the course?
The course is 5KM and 10KM in length.
What happens if I cannot finish the course?
This is not a problem, please just alert the closest event volunteer and let them know and they can help you.
Can I wear headphones while running or walking the course?
Yes of course, however please make sure the volume is not too loud, as in case of emergency there will be announcements along the course which you will need to hear.
Can I push a pram around the course?
Is the course wheelchair assessable?
Do I need to be fit?
No not all, this event is about having fun so please go at your own pace.
Can I dress up?
Yes, please do! There will be a prize for the best dressed!
Can I bring my dog?
Yes of course, and water dog stations will be available along the course.
Will there be road closures?
Will there be food at the event?
Yes, there will be food trucks available.
Will Olivia Newton-John be there on event day?
Will I be photographed on event day?
Yes you might be. If you are not keen on being photographed, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Will there be water stations available?
Yes. We encourage you to bring your own drink bottle so you can refill throughout the event.
What happens if it is raining?
The event will generally go ahead if it is raining, however your safety is our key priority and in extreme weather conditions we will let you know if it is safe for the event to continue.
Please note, if the event is cancelled due to extreme weather you will be notified via SMS/email and your entry fees are non refundable.
How do I create a global event?
Firstly purchase a global walker ticket, and download the marketing resources here to help amplify your cause. Your global event could be a stroll in the park, or a lengthy walk with your teammates - the options are endless!

Yes most roles are. Please let us know your requirements due the application phase.

No, you will be given a food voucher to spend at the event village.
